While the overall number of international students is increasing in the UK, the second-highest percentage of international students comes from India. Data from Higher Education Statistics Agency, UK, indicates that most international students from non-European Union countries prefer full-time postgraduate programs. Further considering the recent Post study work VISA option, the number of students all over the world opting to study in UK has increased tremendously even amidst pandemic situations.
A report reveals that in 2022/23, there were 758,855 overseas students studying at UK universities, 95,505 of whom were from the EU and 663,355 from outside the EU. The total was the tenth record high in a row and 26% of the total student population.
Majority of International students studying in the UK are happy with the diverse study options, flexible course schedule and part-time job opportunities. Students also feel satisfaction with their personal and professional development while studying in the UK highlighting opportunities to improve their English language skills.
